Julia C. Butler is the founder of The Law Office of Julia C. Butler. Julia specializes in conservatorship proceedings and the administration of trusts and wills after death. She represents individuals and professional fiduciaries in their capacities as conservators, conservatees, trustees, beneficiaries and petitioners in all phases of conservatorships, trust administrations and probate proceedings.
For over ten years, Julia practiced law with an AmLaw 100 firm at its San Francisco and Oakland offices. After leaving big law, she practiced with a firm in San Rafael for almost nine years before opening her own firm.
Julia graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1998 where she was a member of the American Journal of Law & Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1992.
Julia resides in San Rafael with her husband Josh and their two teenage boys. She enjoys hiking the beautiful hills of Marin County, swimming laps with a Masters swim team, practicing yoga and attending her sons’ many sports competitions (swimming, baseball and soccer)! She is the co-chair of the Probate Section of the Marin County Bar Association and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Can Do! Education Foundation and Lucas Valley Swim Team.
